Paris Turf reporter Karine Belluteau was not born into the racing world but her passion for the sport has grown after her first experiences at her local Gémozac racecourse and her acquaintance with Francis Picoulet.
Karine Belluteau created the Haras des Petits Champs 7 years ago on 26 hectares close to Royan.
She works alongside Francis Picoulet for whom she keeps 3 broodmares and their offspring. Future champion Voy Por Ustedes has passed through her stable and she raised his sister En La Cruz, recent Gr 3 second, from the age of 6 months.
Karine Belluteau recently recruited a full sister to En la Cruz, Vichy hurdle winner Darae, in foal to Poliglote.
Among her first produce Karine Belluteau counts 5-time jumps winner Simon In Blue. In addition to En La Cruz, she raised Algue de Lune, Chant de Lune and Zeste de Lune for Françis Picoulet.
Karine Belluteau bred a very good 2 y/o in early 2009, called Blue Panis, out of Rhapsody in Blue, winner of a class B race in Maisons-Laffitte.
