Mathieu Daguzan-Garros personifies the 4th generation of horse breeders on the site of the Granges. Initially created to produce horses for the army, then oriented towards Anglo-Arabs, the Haras des Granges moved towards thoroughbreds under Mathieu's father at the end of the 1950s.
The stud, which is set in 100 hectares of fenced land, has had an important influence on French breeding thanks to its two flagship produce, Balbonella, Gr 1 winner and dam of Anabaa, and Cadoudal, patriarch of French jumps stock.
More recently, Torrestrella put the Granges back in the limelight when winning the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches.
Mathieu Daguzan-Garros offers a complete range of breeding services from board for horses at rest to sales preparation. The Granges is a rare establishment which accepts colts and entires at rest.
