He bred and raised the famous Fairplay, a jump star who landed the Grand Cross de Pau four times, despite difficult debuts and a very individual aesthetic. Pierre-Olivier Robert has however not kept on breeding racehorses straightaway. As a sport rider he was then aiming at eventing and cross-country. He has besides got Expo du Moulin to win his first competitions, him who then became an Olympic champion, and started from scratch an eventing breeding operation that includes Ipton du Granit, who competes in European championships.

Pierre-Olivier Robert has turned more specifically towards racing for 4 or 5 years. He has set up his private breeding operation which includes 7 mares, Thoroughbreds and AQPS. Besides, he boards horses for a public clientele,  as resting horses, breeding or permanent boarders.

He performs himself all the foalings.  The gynaecologic follow-up is done by the veterinary surgeons of Bécon les Granits, situated 500 meters away.

Settled in a farm with restorated old buildings, the Elevage des Granit spreads over 229 acres, divided in 3 parts where are raised 80 heads of cattle. Pierre-Olivier Robert also has an outdoor school where he still works the sport horses.
