Jean-François Magnien is a cattle farmer in the Nevers region, a neighbour and childhood friend of Jacques Cyprès. He acquired his first AQPS mare 15 years ago - Kelinda II, from a "Couétil" family but impossible to get in foal.
Magnien managed to get the mare to give birth to a filly, Hotesse de Bouillet, which he kept as a base mare along with Hargaux de Saisy.
Magnien and his son Charles have since developped their AQPS production alongside their 200-strong herd of charolais cows.
Charles Magnien takes in mares for rest or breeding, and takes mares to be covered at the nearby Haras National of Cercy la Tour.
