The Haras de la Reboursière et de Montaigu benefits from a strategic geographical position at the exit of Nonant-le-Pin. This 200-hectare stud was created 105 years ago by the great grandfather of current occupant Aliette Forien on the clay and limestone soil typical of the Merleraut area.

The stablishment has 170 stables and is divided into 6 different parts, Montaigu for mares boarding year-round, La Chauvière for stallions and visiting mares, L'Oisellerie for yearlings, La Reboursière for quarantine and sport horses, Villepelée for mares boarding for the covering season, and finally Beaumenil, a new rented stud 20km away for yearlings during the summer and mares and foals during the winter.

The Haras de la Reboursière et de Montaigu offers all breeding services, foals 60 - 70 mares per year and stands six stallions.

The stud prepares yearlings for the sales ring and was the third top vendor in Deauville in August.
