Sunday Break moves to the Haras de la Haie Neuve
Sire of two Group 1 winners with only six runners, Sunday Break leaves the Haras de Grandcamp, where he was standing since 2009 following his importation, and will now stand at Alain Regnier's Haras de la Haie Neuve (35) from the 2011 spring.
He became a stallion in the USA, where he spent all his racing career, winning the Peter Pan Stakes (Group 2) and finishing third in the Belmont Stakes (Group 1). Born in Japan, Sunday Break was imported to France in 2009. He arrived soon after his son Never On Sunday's revelation, first of his progeny to excel in Europe by winning the Prix du Prince d'Orange (Group 3). He did even better in the spring of 2009 with his success in the Prix d'Ispahan (Group 1). The presence of Never on Sunday in France, and also of his sire, is the result of an amazing coincidence of which the breeder Bernard Jeffroy (SCEA de la Prairie - Brittany) shares on France Sire TV (see the documentary on Never on Sunday).
